What do Templar Knights fighting dragons have to do with the legend of the Loch Ness Monster? Steve Alten's The Loch actually makes this silly premise at least plausible. I could have done without the extensive Scottish dialect and the young misunderstood scientist, but overall I enjoyed the blend of history, science, and thriller.
