Take me home, please.

Kelsey's Book List!

Since I am not as organized as my Mom, Cynthia, I don't go by month. I don't really have an order in my books. Enjoy It anyway!

*******
Hey everyone! I am now making a list of what I desire to read this summer.
I think it may be impossible for me to read so many books tin one summer, but I am getting started!
Let me know if you want me to post the list on here!
~Kelsey

The Diamond of Darkhold
by Jeanne DuPrau

26253192
This one is actually pretty good...
I thought it’d be lame since it’s like.. the gazillionth book in the series!
But it’s really great, I loved it!
It actually was scary at some points.
VERY great!!!

Death Note 1
Tsugumi Ohba
deathnote1_500
Okay.
Another manga.
Shut up :p
It’s actually pretty cool!
Translated from Japanese, I think..
This is about a boy, who finds a book.
When you write a name in the book, that person dies.
So yeah.
Very nice!!!

Bonechiller
by Graham McNamee
9780060846169
This is a manga book, otherwise known as comics.
But better.
It’s a series of four, and it’s AMAZING.
It’s about love and action :]
Really great!

This series is UBER GOOD.
I say uber because I'm cooler than you.
This series is about demigods (kids who have parents/a parent that is a god/goddess), and it is REALLY gooooood.
I recommend this book for.... everyone, haha.
This is a five-part series.
Number 4 just came out, and it was SO GOOD.
I just finished a few days ago.
I've actually become very fond of Greek Mythology through these books, I think I will study this in school.
Verrrrryyy cool.
READ THIS SERIES.

by Daniel Penske
015603008X.01.LZZZZZZZ
I reeeally liked this book.
Excuse my large amount of e's :]
You should read it, even though it's a classic.
I know, I know, classics stink. Well, most of them anyway. But this one is really good.
It's written in the point of view of a mentally-retarded man, but he gets a surgery done to be "smart".
SO GOOD.

A Wrinkle In Time
by Madeline L'Engle
wrinkle in time
This is another classic, but a good one!
I know, I think everything is good.
Well, not really.
But this one is actually SUPER GOOD.
The language is a little funny ("Oh nuts!", "Yippee!", "Good Golly!" and more!).
I really liked this, The cover may be creepy, but the book is.. maggggnifffficent!

Maximum Ride: The Final Warning
by James Patterson
new-maximum-ride
This one was.... okay.
It felt like it was like, really quickly written.
I am disappointed in you James. Grrr.
I loooove this series, but this one was a bit odd.
I can tell he was trying to tie-in a lot of the Global Warming stuff, which is very nicee.
Alright book.
KEEP READING THE SERIES.
Don't give up on James!
hahaha.

Bossy Bear
by David Horvath
411My+xINpL._AA240_
Haha, this book is awesome.
It basically describes my sister, who will remain unamed. =]
I love this book, the bear is adorable, and the moral is cool.

Dreamquest: Tales of Slumberia
Brent Hartinger
Pasted Graphic
Gooood book! This is about Julie, who has horrible, gruesome nightmares about her parents fighting and almost killing her! Julie decides to go into her own mind and take care of this herself!
GRRRRREAT!

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows
by JK Rowling

ibg.common.titledetail.imageloader
AMAZINGLY AWESOMELY GOOODLY SUPERLY GRRRRRRRRREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I must admit that I think that this is the BEST BOOK IN THE SERIES in my opinion. One word of advice: Tissues. Lots of Tissues. I do not approve of spoilers.... grr. Why would people want to just wreck all of the surprise in a book?!?!?!?! gosh, crazy people..... But, as i was saying, BEST BOOK IN THE SERIES BY FAR AND SO AWESOME I CANT EVEN TELL YOU HOW AWESOME IT WAS!!!!!!

Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince
by JK Rowling

ibg.common.titledetail.imageloader
Let's just say, you need a box of tissues. WOW! GOOOOOD BOOK! This one is so great, but you will probably shed a few tears though, sadly enough, you know everything will PROBABLY be alright. GRRREAT!

Harry Potter And The Order Of The Pheonix
by JK Rowling

ibg.common.titledetail.imageloader
This one Is REALLY SUPER GOOOOOD! Harry, just so you know, get so much braver in this book.
He no longer says ' expecto.... expecto.... patronummm.....' and then passes out.
Harry is stronger!!!!!!! Im so proud!!!!! PS: You may/will need tissues.

Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire
by JK Rowling

ibg.common.titledetail.imageloader
Another GRRRRREAT worthy harry potter book, although Harry looks awfully silly on the cover, the book is SO GOOD! I would also like to quote the band Harry And The Potters, 'This Book Is So Awesome!!!!' YAY for HP!!!!!

Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban
by JK Rowling

ibg.common.titledetail.imageloader
To answer my own question, yes, these books do get better and better!!!! Gosh, I just, I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH! I love the plot, the characters, everything about it!!!!!! This one is also Tony Tiger worthy... GRRRREAT!

Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets
By JK Rowling

ibg.common.titledetail.imageloader
Wow, do these books just get better and better or what??? I really love How on the cover of this the illustrator, Mary GrandPr'e wrote 'And the chamber of secrets' in blood just like in the book! (if you have'nt read the book, you'll understand later.) AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

Harry Potter And The Sorcerers Stone
by JK Rowling

ibg.common.titledetail.imageloader
Ahhh, I love a good fantasy book. =] HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERERS STONE IS SO GOOD! I love how Professer Q-Q-Quirrell does the awesome studder! But, would'nt it be hard to understand him in Defense Agains The Dark Arts? Hey, did you know that Nicolas Flamel was an alchemist? Huh! GOOOOOOD BOOK!

Fast Food Nation
by eric schlosser

page19_2
This is quite the convincing book. I can't exactly tell if I liked it or not. Only on page 120,
in the chapter "Meat and Potatoes" does it tell you something completely shocking.
On the top of this page it tells you how McDonald's gets it's french fries to taste so good:
It said that the oil it they cook the fries in is 7% cottonseed oil and 93% beef tallow.
Yeah, that doesn't sound too yummy now does it? And that surprisingly gives the fries their unique flavor McDonald's is famous for - and more saturated beef fat than a McDonald's hamburger.
Mmm...That's just delicious.... I LOVED THIS BOOK!

Will Cook For Sex
by Rocky Fino

page19_3
I am totally not joking, I swear I read this. It's a really good COOKBOOK.
See how I put the emphasis on Cookbook?
But I really did read this, and cook from it. Its great! I LOVED IT!

Maximum Ride: Saving The World And Other Extreme Sports
by James Patterson
Maximum_Ride_3
THIS WAS SO GOOD.
AHHH!
Fang! Max! FANG! MAX!
AGGGGH!
hahah..
READ IT.

Maximum Ride: Schools Out Forever
By James Patterson

page19_5
I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED THIS BOOK TOO!
This is the sequel to Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment. This one gets more mature in content as the kids get older, but I still loved it! It was full of action, suspense, and humor, everything you need for a great book! I read this one it only one day! I'd love a signed copy of this book too!

Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment
by James Patterson

page19_4
I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED THIS BOOK! This is a rewritten version of the adult book When The Wind Blows By James Patterson of course. I tried to read When the Wind Blows, but I thought I should wait because as usual, adult books are a bit gorier than kid books. I definitely recommend this book to anybody! By The way, I read this in two days! Wow! I'd sure like a signed copy of this book! Hint, hint to James!
::UPDATEUPDATE::
MOVIE!!!!!
It's being directed by the guy who did Spiderman and X-men.
How much cooler can this get?!
Sometime in 2010.
It's awhile away, I know. But..
AHH!

The Kingdom Keepers
by Ridley Pearson

page19_6
This is a GREAT book. Especially for a Disney movie lover like me. It's great for a genre I don't normally read. It is a cross between Sci-Fi, and Fantasy And yet I still loved it and recommended it to all of my good friends.
I LOVED THIS BOOK ALOT! Ridley Pearson did a great job on this one, can't wait for the sequel!
I would definitely like a signed copy of this book, and it's sequel!

Al Capone Does My Shirts
by Gennifer Choldenko

page19_7
If you're into jail stories, kinda sorta history stories, or Alcatraz Island, read this. It is a great book. My fifth grade teacher Mrs. Gehrig read this to our class, I eventually read it myself, and loved it!

Green Book
by Jill Paton Walsh

page19_8
My fifth grade teacher Mrs. Gehrig read this to our class as our last book of the year (I think ). It's very much Sci-Fi, and very much fantastic. my mom also read it, and she loved it a lot too, she read it in about ten minutes, it took me half an hour. I love it! By the way, it's a short story. We don't read that fast!

The Book Thief
By Markus Zusak

 page19_12
I read this book for a book report in my 6th grade reading class, Everyone had to find a Historical Fiction book and read it in the time we had that quarter. This was a REALLY GREAT book. It is based during World War II In Nazi, Germany, narrated by death. That made it really interesting! Markus Zusak made Death have a totally different point of view. I loved this book!

The Prophet of Yonwood
By Jean DuPrau

page19_18
This is the third (and last?) addition to the Ember series. This one is great!!!!!! For those of you that don't know, a Prophet is a being that "sees the future". Which has NO relativity to the story AT ALL! heh. I liked it, hope you do too!

The People of Sparks
by Jeanne DuPrau

page19_17
This is the sequel to The City Of Ember. Well like Rocky 2 sequels are never better than the first.
This one does have the introduction to what REALLY matters, but I still liked the first better. You cannot skip this one because it gives VERY important details.

The City of Ember
By Jeanne DuPrau

page19_16
I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! This book is sort of Post-Apocalyptic,
but it gives you a completely different point of view.
If I tell you about the book, i'll give it all away because every detail matters. I LOVED IT!

Pretty Little Devils
By Nancy Holder

 page19_19
This is a very good book. It is based for teenage kids but i liked it, except for the
romance parts, I very much dislike romance in books. I might like it in the future...maybe.

Stormbreaker
by Anthony Horowitz

 page19_20

THIS IS SUCH A GREAT BOOK!!
This book was made into a movie but it didn't come to our town or
Portland. Maybe it only came in England (Made there)? I hope it comes
here, or I visit England miraculously. I LOVED, LOVED THIS BOOK!!!
