In October 2007 I read...
More than a few of my regular customers (and 3 strangers to the store dressed, strangely enough, as Sherlock Holmes) insisted that I read the Mary Russell series by Laurie R. King. I balked, having found Holmes to be pretentious and annoying, even for a Victorian. Fine I started reading the series, with the first book, The Beekeeper's Apprentice. I hate it when I'm wrong. Thank goodness it so rarely happens.
